Orphan Program

For animals who need medical attention and new home

Our Orphan Program is meant for animals who need medical attention but whose owners are unable to provide the necessary care or funding. The animals who enter into this program are surrendered by their owner to Quinte Animal Hospital and are then provided with proper nutrition, veterinary care and TLC. Once these pets are deemed healthy, they are put up for adoption and we accept applications to ensure they go to a proper home. Applications for adoption are available directly from the clinic.

Donations are always welcome and are used to cover the costs of veterinary treatment. Dr. Peck-Callan and Dr. Runciman donate their services and time as do the veterinary technicians and assistants to try to keep costs down and enable us to help a larger number of pets.

Quinte Animal Hospital donates the profits from many of our toy sales to our orphan fund as well so come on in for your pet’s birthday or Christmas gifts to buy a special toy that gives twice.
